Solved.Hey guys so i've got a seemingly unsolvable problem. I can't get any roms at all to boot. What so ever. Also i swear i'm not a noob.
I have an s-off, senseless, evo-v turned into an evo 3d, running on jelly been. And also rooted my sisters optimus v with cm9So my girlfriend has a Sensation 4g on t mobile and i was rooting it (so she could change her fonts lol) because even with unlocking then flashing it i was unable to get superuser to function. So i decided to find a custom rom to flash with root access. Google yeilded me nothing but 4.0.3 roms so i did all according directionsUnlocked bootloaderS-off with revolutionaryChanged the firmware to the Firmware 3.33 Universal one.using TWRPCANNOT GET ANY ROMS TO BOOT. They ALL boot loop at 'htc quitlly briliant or the android picture for some roms. Keep having to just restore. Can't even get root access going.Tried everything.
Done ALOT of forum browsing and googling. NOthing provides any solution. Or relavance for that matter.Links or info would be soooooooooooooooooooooooo appreciated. Don't want this phone to beat me.
Please and thankyou. Now after updating firmware it is bootlooping even on nandroid restore. The roms your flashing need to match your firmware. Assuming your nandroids are gingerbread, that explains why they are bootlooping. The t mobile ics firmware is fine for running other ics roms. ASsuming you are flashing ics roms,I'm not sure why you'd have prollems.Prolly what id do is this:-supercid,if you haven't-run the t mobile ruu. Boot it and make sure all functions properly.-install recovery(i personally use ext 4,but that's a personal preference)-install superSU,if you want to continue on rooted stock.
Alternately you can flash an ics rom, making sure to do a full wipe.If you want to run gb,you'll need to revert back to gb firmware. I have a firmware only zip.file linked in another thread,or you could run the gb ruu.Other than the above,I'd prolly need a lil more info on what you've tried to.flash, and the process you used.
Info from your hboot screen would prolly be helpful as well.links:pyramid ext 4:pyramid clockwork:t mobile ICS firmware:t mobile GB firmware:t mobile ICS full ruu(3.32.531.14):t mobile GB full ruu(1.50.531.1):superSU(download link reads: CWM-SuperSU-v0.98.zip):holler if you have questions. Sorry just read this, but you were spot on the money. I don't know why i was having bootloops even on matching firmware. But after extensive searching(my girlfriend wouldn't let me hear the end of how i bricked her phone) I pretty much got to all the files you Posted. XD Worked my way to doing pretty much whatyou said up there. Lol wish i'd have checked back sooner.I'm guessing it was a combination of the recovery not being compatible with the Zip, TWRP, and maybe some remnants in the hboot or firmware somewhere or something incompatible like that.
But for future users Here is what i did to solve it. (Pretty much What he said^)1.
Flashed the T-mobile firmware and tried wiping then reflashing the rom,Didn't work. Let's try that again. Downloaded the t-mous RUU^. As it overwrites the hboot firmware and rom, solving any compatibility issues.2.
Made a Backup of that. For safe keeping. After New recovery. (in next step.)4. Switched to 4ext recovery from Teamwinrecovery project(Made a huge difference, half the rom wasn't even flashing, i'm guessing cause it had options built in.)5. ROM FLASHED FINE!
=) (Android revolution hd or whatever it's called.)6. Made Back up. Backups are my friend. Gave girlfriend back her phone. Got some sleep That night.
